Good to know on the road

  • Pahalgam

    Sightseeing to Aru, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari is done in Pahalgam's local taxis, not the vehicle you arrive in. This is arranged and included in our journeys.

  • Gulmarg

    In winter the road from Tangmarg to Gulmarg needs snow chains; we plan for it.

  • Sonamarg

    Thajiwas Glacier is reached on foot or by pony; local arrangements apply.

  • Border valleys

    Gurez, Tulail, Keran, Machil, Teetwal and Karnah involve checkposts and registration; we handle the formalities.
