Who we are
Still Kashmir Private Limited is a private tour operator based in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India. Registered office: [registered office address]. CIN: [to be added]. GSTIN: [to be added]. You can reach us through the email address on our Contact page or on WhatsApp.
02
Using this website
You may use this website to learn about Kashmir and our services, and to enquire with us. You agree not to misuse it: no automated scraping, no attempts to break its security, and no false or unlawful enquiries. We work to keep the information accurate, but road conditions, seasons, opening months and access rules in Kashmir change, so treat destination guides as general information and check the details of your own trip with us.
03
Enquiries and quotations
Sending an enquiry does not create a booking or any obligation on either side. After you enquire, our team will talk to you, then send a written plan and quotation. A quotation is valid for [7 days] unless it says otherwise, and remains subject to availability until you confirm.
04
Prices
- Prices on this website are starting prices, per person on a twin-sharing basis unless stated otherwise (for example, per couple). They are a guide, not an offer.
- The price you pay is the one in your written quotation. It depends on your dates, the number of travellers, the stays you choose and availability.
- Unless your quotation says otherwise, prices include taxes such as GST at the applicable rate, and exclude flights, lunches, entry fees, activity charges (such as the gondola, ponies and shikara rides) and anything not listed as included.
- We may revise an unconfirmed quotation if taxes, fuel or supplier prices change. Once your booking is confirmed and paid as agreed, we will not raise the price except for changes you request or new government taxes and levies.
05
Booking and payment
- Your booking is confirmed when you accept the quotation and we receive the advance payment of [25%] of the total. We then send a written confirmation.
- The balance is due [30 days] before your arrival. For bookings made within [30 days] of arrival, the full amount is due at confirmation.
- Some items, such as peak-season houseboats, gondola tickets and trek permits, may need to be paid in full when booked. Your quotation will say so.
- If the balance is not paid on time, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you and apply the cancellation charges below.
- Payments are accepted by bank transfer, UPI or [other methods]. Payments from outside India must cover all bank charges.
06
If you cancel
Cancellation must be sent to us in writing (WhatsApp or email). The following charges apply, as a percentage of the total price:
- More than [45 days] before arrival: [the advance payment is retained].
- [44–30 days] before arrival: [40%].
- [29–15 days] before arrival: [60%].
- [14 days] or less before arrival, or no-show: [100%].
Where a supplier's own charges for a confirmed service are higher (for example peak-season or non-refundable stays), those charges apply instead. Refunds are made to the original payment method within [14 working days] of cancellation.
07
Changes to your booking
We will try to accommodate changes you request, such as dates, names or stays, subject to availability. Changes may incur a fee and any supplier charges. Reducing the number of travellers or nights counts as a partial cancellation.
08
Changes and cancellation by us
Travel in Kashmir depends on the mountains. Roads and passes can close with little warning (for example Zoji La, the Razdan Pass or Sinthan Top), the gondola's upper stage runs only in good weather, and access to some areas changes during the Amarnath Yatra or for security reasons. If something outside our control affects your journey, we will adjust the plan to give you the best alternative we can, and we are not responsible for costs caused by such events. If we must make a major change before you travel, or cancel your booking for reasons within our control, you may choose an alternative or a full refund of what you have paid us.
09
Permits, documents and access
- Some destinations, including Gurez, Tulail, Keran, Machil, Teetwal and Karnah, require registration or special permission. Foreign nationals may not be permitted in some of these areas. We arrange formalities where required, but approval rests with the authorities and can be refused or withdrawn.
- You must carry valid government photo identification throughout your journey. Foreign nationals must carry a passport and a valid Indian visa.
- Drones may not be flown in Jammu & Kashmir without the required permissions.
10
Health, safety and insurance
Several destinations are at high altitude (Gulmarg's gondola reaches nearly 4,000 m), and walks, treks and adventure activities involve physical effort and risk. Tell us about any medical condition, mobility need or pregnancy before booking so we can advise you. Follow the instructions of your driver, guide and activity operators. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical care, evacuation and cancellation.
11
Our suppliers
Hotels, houseboats, transport, guides and activity operators are independent businesses chosen by us. We check them and remain your point of contact throughout, but each supplier is responsible for its own services and its own rules. Some activities, such as gondola tickets, are sold only through official operators and are subject to their terms.
12
Your responsibilities
Please respect local customs, dress modestly at shrines and in the old city, and follow the rules of the places you stay. We or our suppliers may end the services of anyone whose behaviour endangers or seriously disturbs others, without refund.
13
Liability
We are responsible for arranging and delivering the services in your confirmation with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for loss, injury or damage caused by you, by third parties unconnected with the services, or by events we could not foresee or avoid. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the price of your booking, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any liability that cannot legally be limited.
14
Photos and reviews
We may ask for photos or reviews from your journey. We will use your name, photos or words on our website or social media only with your permission.
15
Content and intellectual property
The text, design, itineraries and photography on this website belong to Still Kashmir or are used under licence. You may share links and use content for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not copy or republish it commercially without our written permission.
16
Complaints
If something is not right during your journey, tell your host or our team immediately so we can fix it on the spot. If it cannot be resolved, write to us within 30 days of returning home and we will respond within 30 days.
17
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.
18
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force on the date you confirm your booking applies to that booking.
